Solutions
Once the existing
problems of information in MIDES were studied, the following
application system was proposed as a solution:
- Information
management system with the following characteristics:
- Locate
technicians easily in real time
- Stock
control of existing materials in the Petrol
Stations
- Stock
control of used or replaced materials in each
service activity
- Integration
of invoicing
- A scheduler for
vehicles routing, in order to:
- Know where
the operator is at every moment
- Decrase
planning costs
- A preventive
Maintenance Expert System
- To decrase
repairs cost for both petrol stations and Mides,
as failures are foreseen
- Remote connections
- To include
a portable personal computer in the operator's
equipment so as to allow the operator to
communicate with the central MIDES headquarters
system through remote connection, for:
- Preparing
delivery notes
- Doing
maintenance of Structures, split into
subproducts of petrol stations and petrol
pumps
- Allowing
the operator to know which petrol
stations request his services, what must
be repaired and in which order.
