MANTENIMIENTO, INSTALACIÓN Y DISEÑO DE ESTACIONES DE SERVICIO S.A. (MIDES) is a petrol station maintenance company located in Prat de Llobregat, leader in its market sector and with branch offices spread throughout Spain. Due to every-day higher market requirements and the fast growth that the company was experiencing, MIDES decided to implant a data processing system, which would be able to plan and manage their maintenance activity. They decided for a personalised software package. In this project, they play the role of end-users, collaborating in the implementation of some utilities.
BCN Cosiver 10 ,SL is a software consultancy located in Barcelona, which specialises in management systems. All through its professional life, it has developed management projects of all type, integrating a production planning system in most of them. In this project, it plays the role of application developer and technical manager.
The Statistics Department of the UNIVERSITAT POLITÈCNICA DE CATALUNYA (UPC) participates in the Preventive Maintenance module of the project. They have worked with BCN Cosiver 10 before.
CENTRO EUROPEO DE PARALELISMO DE BARCELONA (CEPBA) provides validation of the parallel system, helps in dissemination activities and acts as coordinator between Mides, BCN Cosiver and UPC and the Commission of the European Communities.
